UPDATE ON THE APPEAL

To our dear parishioners and friends of our parish,

From ancient times our ancestors were thankful to God for everything that He sent them. Whether it was difficult trials or miraculous deliverances from inclement weather, something small and insignificant or something big or even huge - they gave thanks for everything.

As all of you are very much aware, our parish has suffered through many trials, ranging from a devasting fire to a schism.  With God's help we, the parishioners, have endured all these trials and tribulations and continue to work toward fully restoring our beloved cathedral to its former glory.

Not that long ago shortly after Holy Pascha when we began raising money for the new ventilation system, few believed that we would be able to raise such a large amount.  Truly, a miracle happened: our prayers were answered, and, with God’s help, we have collected the entire amount of funds to complete the installation of the new ventilation system.

OUR HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO ALL OF YOU, OUR DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST!

Many of you donated anonymously with only God knowing your names.  With this note, we would like to convey our deepest gratitude for your responsiveness and generosity.  You truly put your parish into first place and despite all of our internal divisions we united.

This is the true miracle!

We now call upon you to come together and give thanks to our Lord for His great blessing.

A thanksgiving prayer service will be held on the day honoring our patron saint, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, on Tuesday, December 19, following the Divine Liturgy presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad.

We everyone to join together and praise our Lord in prayer.

With deep gratitude,

Clergy of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Montreal.

PS: The completion of the ventilation system is planned for next May 2024.
